Events

    Stay connected, have fun, and make unforgettable memories with our colorful community.  2025 events included a collaboration with the Long Beach LGBTQ Center for a dance party;  a summer BBQ; a men's brunch to foster connection with other guys; a streamed VOX Femina concert; a hike at the Bolsa Chica wetlands; fundraising at two swap meets that turned item donations into big wins; a docent-led tour at the Bowers Museum, a theater outing to the Gem Theater in Garden Grove, and a fabulous Friendsgiving feast. 

 

Monthly potlucks were pure magic, with everyone bringing dishes from cherry jello to giant smothered burritos and more.  Weekly scheduled walks burned off the potluck calories.

Although we do not list specific events here (they’re listed in our monthly email list), past events have also included (or may include in the future): 

• Weekly card game nights in a clubhouse

• Meandering walks within the walls of Leisure World

• Summer picnics in a local park with views of a lake or the ocean

• Adventures to destinations within Orange County or Long Beach

• OutIngs to concerts, theater performances, museums and gardens 

• Potluck luncheons and dinners

• Charity drives to help animals and queer youth

 

    We’re always looking for fresh perspectives and new ideas to bring to our group.  If you have suggestions for an activity, please let us know.
