About Us

     Welcome to the Rainbow Community of Leisure World.

    OUR ROOTS: Officially recognized by the Golden Rain Foundation in 2014, the Rainbow Sisters Club was founded to provide a warm, supportive space for the lesbian women of Leisure World. Under the dedicated leadership of Ms. Geneva and Ms. Linda, the club flourished by fostering a sense of belonging among its members.

    EXPANSION: As our community has grown and evolved, we recognized the need to expand our reach and create a more inclusive environment that celebrates diversity in all its forms. In mid-2024, the Rainbow Community was born to provide activities for our larger LGBTQ family. ​​

    MEMBERSHIP: In 2026, membership grew to 140+ members, and continues to grow. Membership is free. While we don’t charge dues, donations are greatly appreciated, helping us to continue to host events and activities that bring our community closer together.
